Delete your account
Last updated · 4 June 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of your OriginalGuard account and the personal data associated with it. OriginalGuard is published by vaibhxv (app package com.vaibhxv.originalguard).
Overview
You can permanently delete your account directly in the OriginalGuard app. Deletion is irreversible: once complete, you will be signed out on all devices and your personal data will be removed from active use in the Service (subject to the limited legal retention described below).
If you want a copy of your data first, use Profile → Download my data in the app to export your records. If you only want to remove specific data and keep your account, see Data Deletion instead.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the OriginalGuard app and make sure you are signed in and online.
- Go to Profile (the account tab), then open Delete my account.
- Optionally choose a reason and add a note — this helps us improve, and is never required.
- Tick the checkbox confirming you understand that deletion is permanent and all your personal data will be deleted.
- Type the word
DELETEin the confirmation field. - Tap Delete my account. You will be signed out and returned to the login screen.
A network connection is required to finish deletion, because we must revoke your sessions and run clean-up on the server.
If you can't open the app
If you have lost access to the app or your device (for example, you have left the organisation), email development@originalguard.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will verify your identity and process the deletion. Do not include passwords or one-time codes in your email.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove your personal data from active use, including:
- Your profile (name, email, phone, profile photo) and login credentials.
- Attendance history and check-in/out records.
- Shift assignments, shift swaps and tasks linked to you.
- Incident reports you filed or were assigned, where they are personal to you.
- Leave requests and balances.
- Location data — patrol logs and last-known tracking location.
- Notifications, notification preferences and push tokens.
- Active sessions and devices (all are revoked).
What we keep, and for how long
A small amount of information may be retained in read-only form after deletion, only where we are legally required or have a legitimate need to do so:
- Statutory records. Certain employment, payroll or tax-related records that applicable law requires your organisation or us to retain, for the period the law specifies.
- Audit & safety logs. Minimal audit entries (e.g. that a deletion occurred) to maintain accountability and prevent abuse.
- Backups. Residual copies in encrypted backups, which expire automatically on our backup-rotation schedule.
Retained data is access-controlled and used only for the purpose for which it is kept. Where the law does not require retention, data is not kept beyond completing the deletion.
Note for administrators
If you are an administrator, deletion is blocked while you are the last active administrator in your Workspace — this prevents the workspace from being orphaned. Promote another user to administrator first, then delete your account.
Timing
In-app deletion takes effect immediately. Requests sent by email are processed after identity verification, normally within 30 days. Removal from encrypted backups completes on the next backup-rotation cycle. For questions, contact development@originalguard.com.
